Vodafone Egypt applies for listing

Vodafone Egypt has applied for listing on the Cairo and Alexandria stocks exchanges. It, and listed Mobinil, are the only two cellular operators in the Arab world's most populous country. Owned 76 per cent by Vodafone, the Egypt firm is considering part equity sale to Telecom Egypt, which has a third mobile licence and may not use it if it gets equity in either operator.
