CrediMax wins top honors at The Visa Challenge 2003

CrediMax won The Visa Challenge Competition 2003 claiming First position in the CEMEA (Central Europe, Middle East and Africa) region among 140 participating teams from around the world.

The internet based business simulation tournament, which was run by Visa Business School of Visa International, sought to find the Best Cards Team whose strategies and decision-making policies generated the greatest profits.

The on-line competition's aim was to see which team managed their business best and could secure the most market share and maximize their rate of growth over a specified timeframe in a fictional marketplace.

The CrediMax teams competed head on with other banks for a period of ten consecutive weeks during the months of June and July 2003. CrediMax successfully accomplished the proposed league phase which constituted of five rounds. Each round lasted two weeks and represented a year in the life of the card program introduced by the competitors.

"I would like to congratulate CrediMax team for their great success in this challenging competition. Winning the Best Team's title among banks in Central Europe, Middle East and Africa is one of the most outstanding achievements for CrediMax. With such an accomplishment, CrediMax will further its international recognition. We are very proud of our achievement and very proud of our team," said Mohammed Ebrahim Mohammed, CrediMax General Manager.

By putting together a profound mix of extensive experience and creative managerial skills, CrediMax's team succeeded in testing the fictional marketplace to create the most profitable card program.

An award ceremony was held at the CrediMax premises in Manama in September 2003, in appreciation of the winning team and to celebrate their success.

The ceremony was attended by CrediMax General Manager Mr. Mohammed Ebrahim Mohammed and Jonathan Cabedo, Visa International Deputy General Manager for CEMEA where members of the winning team were praised and awarded for their excellent efforts for winning the competition. Certificates of achievement and cash prizes were presented to members of the winning team.

"The Visa Challenge 2003 is a wonderful learning excercise as it helps to sharpen the competitors commercial skills, managerial techniques and business perception. It was a great team-building exercise as well," said Hamad Hassani, Marketing Assistant at CrediMax.

The winning team's participants led by Head of Business Development at CrediMax, Nader Al Soufi included CrediMax Head of Collection, Yousef Obaidly. Dispute Officer, Nasreen A. Rasool. Head of Customer Services, Khalid Omar and Marketing Assistant, Hamad Hassani.
