- PRESS RELEASE
Kuwait Airways Corporation is preparing itself for the upcoming 50 years celebration, which will officially begin on 16 March 2004.
During the press conference organized by KAC, Mr. Harry Pusey took the media through a memory path, dating back to 1958. The media was awed that the 81-year- old former Acting CEO, could precisely remember every earmarked achievement and even the steps taken to guide KAC's beginnings with strong established roots of discipline for the growth and development of KAC.
There were many moments of reminiscence during the press conference at KAC headquarters. However, a significant moment was when Mr. Harry Pusey spoke about the inception of KAC logo. Said Mr. Pusey, 'While designing the logo, I had to review the company's image and develop a new logo and brand identity. Therefore the bird with its beak held high, reflecting my hope that to whichever destinations KU aircraft may fly, it must always be safe in the sky and there must not be any accidents."
During his stay in Kuwait, KAC organized an agenda for Mr. Pusey to meet with high-ranking Kuwaiti officials. Mr. Pusey was emotionally moved at seeing the growth of Kuwait and the Corporation and said that though Kuwait and KAC is an explosion of development 'yet the spirit of cooperation and hospitality of the Kuwaiti people has not changed since 1958'.
