Italian style arrives at Global Village

The new Italian Pavilion at Global Village is all set to offer visitors to the attraction some great, daily suprises and a wide variety of traditional Italian fare.
Ibrahim Abdul Rahim, Global Village Director, Dubai Shopping Festival said, "The new Italian Pavilion will certainly add to Global Village and compliment the overall success of the event. Italy is one of the oldest societies in Europe and as such they have an enormous history and tradition, that people will enjoy learning about. There is no doubt that visitors to the Village will enjoy the wonderful Italian hospitality and products on offer."
The Italian Pavilion promises to represent all 22 regions of the country, re-creating itself every week to accommodate a particular theme or area. There will be all the traditional Italian products on offer, incorporating the Italian characteristics of fashion and design, glamour and sophistication. Not forgetting pizza and pasta there will be a leading internationally acclaimed Italian Chef who will serve the very best traditional Italian cuisine.
Raffaella Carnevale, organizer of the Italian Pavilion said, "The theme of our Pavilion will be Italy! We want to recreate our country in miniature, everything will be authentic and will convey the Italian 'Dolce Vita!'. We want to express the Italian warmth, hospitality, culture and tradition and to introduce people to our wonderful way of life. We are delighted that we can showcase our country at this excellent event in Dubai."
Representatives from all over Italy will be present at the Pavilion and they will be introducing some of the cultures and industries that are at the heart of Italy's civilization. Cuisine, art, design, music and dance are just some of the topics that will be accommodated throughout the month and there are daily events and spectacles to provide further entertainment.
Global Village is jointly organized with DSF and Dubai Festival City. It is one of the biggest attractions of DSF with 3 million people visiting the event last year. The Village in 2004 will host Pavilions from 38 destinations worldwide, including eight new countries. The objective of Global Village is to provide a wide array of differing cultures and societies within one environment, encouraging visitors to experience and appreciate different civilizations from across the world.
