German manufacturer BinTec in regional deal with interFRONTIERS for the UAE Market

interFRONTIERS, the Cyprus-based Regional Business Development Unit for major IT industry leaders such as NEC and Packard Bell, has been appointed as the Middle East, Africa and SE Europe representative of BinTec, European provider of professional IP Access Solutions for cost-effective and efficient enterprise communications.
"We had the opportunity to showcase BinTec's groundbreaking products on the NEC Computers International booth where BinTec IP access solution was used to connect all the NEC computers displayed at the booth to the internet through an ISDN line.
Also, BinTec had a seminar on October 21st, which highlighted the importance of comprehensive Access Solutions for the region's businesses, said Lenia Iacovides, Managing Director, interFRONTIERS. 'Adding BinTec's network access solutions to our product portfolio is part of our strategy to offer to our customers complete solutions.'
"The German network access specialist is eyeing a major share of the Eastern Europe and Middle East's IP sector while aiming at securing a 10% market share in the next five years in Europe's five major markets, which by then will account for an estimated 500 million Euros* worth of business annually," said Iacovides.
Thomas von Baross, BinTec's Managing Director Sales & Marketing, said: "Through our partnership with interFRONTIERS we plan to capitalise on the UAE market potential through indirect sales via distribution, VAR's and resellers while focusing on mid-sized and big company sites as well as on decentralised company structures. We focus on flexible and industry-specific solutions and are looking for direct contact to lead customers."
"At the moment, Germany and the UK are Europe's biggest markets in the sector, accounting for an annual 186 and 91 million Euros respectively*. However the fastest growth will take place in Italy, France and Spain which by 2005 will account for a combined 230 million Euro market."
