Nakheel promotes tourism elements of its offshore developments
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, November 12 - 2003 at 15:33
- PRESS RELEASE
Nakheel's unique and iconic offshore developments - The Palm and The World - are this week being showcased to the world's travel and tourism elite at the leading travel exhibition - World Travel Market 2003 (WTM) - in London.
"The Palm has a very exciting tourism facet to it, which we are keen to communicate to the world. Once the first island opens by 2006, it will boast around 50 luxury hotels, each with a unique theme and style of service, catering to a broad range of tourists tastes. In total this equates to approximately 11,600 guest rooms and that's just on the first Palm", explained Attalla.
In addition to the hotels on The Palm, Jumeirah, the 'Dive Experience' is also another highly imaginative concept that is expected to attract tourists from near and afar. This man-made dive park will be created to simulate the bottom topography that you might find at famous dive destinations around the world, including Bali, Palau, Maldives, the Great Barrier Reef, the Cayman Islands and more.
The Palm, Jebel Ali, the second of the two islands expected to open two years later in 2007, will similarly feature a range of luxury hotels. Additionally however, tourists will be able to marvel in the sea village on the trunk of this island. Exotic aquatic delights including amazing aquariums, a killer whale stadium and engaging dolphins will provide a holiday destination in its own right.
On both islands boutique shopping, specialty restaurants and marinas with a range of leisure vessels will provide tourists with the more traditional island holiday indulgences.
At WTM Nakheel is not only discussing the outstanding business opportunities of The Palm to WTM attendees, but of course is also promoting its more recently announced offshore development called The World.
Consisting of 250 islands strategically positioned to form the shape of the world map, this development also boasts vast tourism opportunities. According to Attalla, "Investors have the opportunity to create their own dominion from private homes, estates and palaces to luxury hotel resorts, marinas and hotel apartments".
"Whether investors are looking to develop the perfect secluded beach resort in Greenland or the first desert island in Central Africa, we'll listen to their proposals as The World in Dubai presents the perfect location to turn your real estate vision into reality", said Attalla.
WTM is a leading international exhibition organised for travel and tourism professionals. World Travel Market remains first and foremost a dedicated business-to-business event that puts leading industry buyers, specifiers and influencers in direct contact with worldwide industry suppliers. It commenced on Monday and takes place until Thursday at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London.
Representatives from The Palm's international property agents FPD Savills, are also supporting Nakheel at the show.
