NBD rewards its online service users

Customers who log on to NBD Online before December 30, 2003, will have a chance to win one of fifteen prizes that include an Acer Travelmate laptop, four handheld Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) and ten Siemens S55 mobile phones. A raffle draw to announce the winners will be held in January 2004, the bank said.

NBD Online is the Internet banking service of the National Bank of Dubai. Available at no extra cost, NBD Online gives customers a round-the-clock convenient access to their accounts whether they are in the office, at home or even whilst traveling. Holders of NBD credit cards can access their card information through NBD Online even if they are not NBD account holders.

Speaking on the occasion, Adil Shafi, Manager, Automated Banking Channels, National Bank of Dubai, said: "Offering customers services of the highest quality tops the list of our priorities. And we always look into ways to make using our services and products even more enjoyable, fun and rewarding".

The National Bank of Dubai has recently launched a new online banking application that utilizes state-of-the-art J2EE technology and end-to-end 128 bit SSL encryption for utmost security and convenience.

NBD Online provides customers with various services including account and credit card balance statements and transfer of funds between accounts. It also enables users to set up templates for registered bill payments and outward remittances, personalize access information and even customize the menu and screen layouts.

New features such as an advanced statement enquiry, multiple bill payments and personalized login ID, have also been incorporated to make navigating the site easier and add more convenience and security to the online banking experience. The online banking application is also provided to the Bank's commercial clients and includes specific functionality designed to cater to their business needs.

"The new online application is faster and easier to use. It will also further enhance the security of our online services. At NBD, we remain committed to enabling users do their transactions and access their account details within a very secure and protected environment", Shafi added.

To access NBD Online, customers can register by completing the online registration form or complete NBD Online application forms that are available at all NBD branches across the UAE.
