The 189-room hotel, the only five-star deluxe hotel in the Emirate, has its own sewage treatment plant, located on the edge of the hotel parking lot. Through the treatment facility the hotel recycles an average 250,000 litres of water per day.

Connecting to the Ajman sewerage network means that the hotel will be spared the need to house a waste treatment facility on their premises and employ tankers to collect the solid sludge for transportation to the designated landfill for dumping.

"With the sewerage system, the waste is transported away, quickly and efficiently, through the piped connection to a centralised plant. This means that one avoids the unpleasantness associated with transferring sewage from one place to another," said Yakoob Abedellah, Client Service Manager, Ajman Sewerage Company.

"The long run term benefits of us registering with the Ajman Sewerage Company are immense and we are indeed pleased to be part of a progressive project which will radically change the environment and the way we live," said Ulrich Eckhardt, Managing Director of Ajman Kempinski.

Ajman Kempinski Hotel & Resort is one of a long line of properties that have recently registered for connection to the upcoming sewerage network.

The Ajman sewerage project will also impact on local real estate with the positive impact it will have on the environment and its support of greening projects through the provision of treated water. The sewerage network is also expected to provide fresh impetus to tourism in the Emirate and to instill confidence in future investment in the Emirate.
