"By experiencing the Air Arabia experience first hand from the actual flight to the ground operations, we want the travel agents to be familiar with the Air Arabia brand and the business model that it developed itself from," said Adel Ali, Air Arabia's CEO. "Our first group of agents is from Beirut, with other destinations to soon follow," he added.

Following overwhelming customer demand for its distinctive travel services since its launch, Air Arabia recently appointed the first set of travel agents in Sharjah and Dubai to service the UAE market. This recent appointment of regional agents follows in the heels of the UAE initiative with the regional network rapidly growing and the customer demand from Air Arabia's regional operations to Sharjah itself escalating. "Appointing travel agents in all the destinations we fly reinforces the accessibility and simplicity of air travel which Air Arabia offers to citizens of this region," Adel concluded.

During their stay, the agents will participate in various presentation sessions as well as experience first hand what the Emirates has to offer with visits to popular tourist spots and some of the hotels that Sharjah and Dubai have available to travellers. This information enables the agent to offer a complete package to Air Arabia customers where required.

Air Arabia is currently flying to Bahrain, Beirut (Lebanon), Damascus (Syria), Kuwait and Muscat (Oman). The projected destination list will cover: Amman (Jordan), Cairo (Egypt), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Doha (Qatar), Isfahan, Shiraz and Tehran (Iran), Sana'a (Yemen) and Saudi Arabia.

Air Arabia offers tremendous opportunities to travellers who are looking for competitive fares. It aims to make air travel more convenient and frequent, while providing the lowest fares in the market without sacrificing the standards of safety and service offered.
