NIVEA's range of products featured at this year's Rugby 7's will be NIVEA For Men and NIVEA Sun. This sports sponsorship is the first of its kind by NIVEA in the Middle East and represents its renewed commitment to the region.
The Arabian Gulf rugby team is made up of the best players from the Arabian Gulf League, some of which are GCC nationals. The players were picked from top teams including Dubai Exiles, Dubai Dragons, Muscat, Doha, Bahrain and Kuwait, and have been trained by a South African coach. The team will travel to play in Thailand one week prior to the Rugby 7's and will remain together until the tournament in Dubai.

NIVEA's sponsorship comes as an extension to its global association with sporting events. Beiersdorf have previously sponsored the Hamburg Marathons and continue to sponsor the European Beach Volleyball Championship since the year 2000.
"We are excited to be part of this sponsorship by NIVEA, I believe that a lot of people in the region can relate to us as a team making us the perfect choice for such a brand especially that we are a local team and have a huge amount of support, " stated Darryl Weir, Coach and Regional Rugby Development Officer.
On the ground at the rugby pitch, there will be a NIVEA kiosk selling NIVEA for Men and NIVEA Sun products to spectators.
