The Seminar, entitled 'How Does Successful National Recruitment Work?' is being held as an integral part of Gateway 2003, which will provide up to 250 real jobs for serious Emirati job seekers.
Places are limited, and selling fast, in what will prove to be a vital event for HR managers, recruitment specialists and consultants.
Keynote speaker at the event is Dr. Mansour Al Awar, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Institute for Human Resource Development.
Karen Storey, Managing Partner of X-Logic, the Knowledge Village-based management and training consultancy and event organiser, said: 'Gateway 2003 is set to raise the standard of recruitment events in the UAE, and the best practice seminar aims to help employers approach Emiratisation professionally and efficiently.
'The forum covers every aspect of the challenge of recruiting, training and retaining local employees. Through a series of top level presentations from respected speakers, delegates will learn not only how to improve the quality of how you recruit, but also how to develop the local talent pool into 21st century business leaders.'
Commencing at 9.30am on December 9, 2003, at Knowledge Village, the first speaker is Kassim Kanakri, General Manager of Strategy and Management Excellence, Department of Civil Aviation, who will discuss the challenge of developing national leaders.
Next is Alan Schofield, Head of Human Resources at the National Bank of Dubai, who will discuss the ex-pat challenge of nationalisation. Oussama Mansour, CEO of Profiles International will explain 'Applied Psychometric Testing in Strategic Nationalisation Programmes', and finally, David Sandal, GCC Sales Director of Colgate-Palmolive, will close the seminar with a presentation called 'Recruitment - the cost of failure.'
