German task force in Dubai

For the first time a German Chamber task force visited Dubai last week to promote bilateral investment.
During this meeting, the Director General focused on the importance for German companies to delve into small and medium sized projects in the Dubai market. He said, "DCCI is ready to take the necessary action to encourage these companies, and to offer the necessary support in either opening local branches, or in exploring the market in Dubai and the region".
Al Mutaiwee also commented on the stability enjoyed by Dubai's market, which greatly encourages foreign direct investment here.
The task force which accompanied Dr Friedrich is the first initiative of its kind by a German Chamber, to promote bilateral investment. It constitutes of Verena Risse, Head of Bilateral Investment & Financial Services in the German Industry and Commerce, and Marco Knobloch, manager of bilateral investment and financial investment.
From their side, the German task force offered an initiative to encourage investment between Dubai and Germany, based on the great economic atmosphere prevailing in the UAE, as well as the great opportunities, products and services provided here which would fulfill the needs of the perspective German investors.
The Director General of DCCI suggested that the German Industry and Commerce invites representatives from companies and businesses, to take part in networking activates organized by the Chamber, such as seminars and meetings between them and their counterparts in Dubai. He also mentioned the importance of participating in the large regional and international exhibitions organized in Dubai.
The task force provided the Director General with a break down of the services they provide their clients of German companies, such as studies, consultations, suitability of the projects and the economic and cultural climate in the UAE, amongst other services provided for groups and individuals.
