Layout Ltd. launches RepliDot 1.0

RepliDot 1.0 is a revolutionary Adobe® Photoshop® Plug-In® that converts traditional separation films into high-quality digital files for integration in today's all-digital workflow, such as CTP.

In the rising move to digital printing, RepliDot uniquely responds to strong market needs for a copydot solution and assures the ultimate in image quality and productivity. RepliDot delivers outstanding copydot scanning and image reproduction by preserving the quality of the original text and image to satisfy the most demanding requirements.

With its user-friendly interface, RepliDot allows you to automatically create correction tables that suit your own scanner from a calibration target generated on your imagesetter or from your existing separations.

RepliDot 1.0 key features include: manual and automatic calibration, digitalization of screened films using Advanced Adaptive Threshold Technology, manageable dot replication for improved image quality and automatic alignment using register marks of digital separations within a flexible workflow.

RepliDot's optional Digital Descreening technique offers a unique way to convert pre-screened originals into an editable continuous tone (CT) image file. This operation allows you to make last-minute changes to the CT file, with a great deal of flexibility prior to its integration into the electronic pagination stage.

RepliDot runs on both Windows® and Macintosh® operating systems. Unlike other software, RepliDot is a scanner-independent publishing solution.
