Venus nominated for GMR Gulf Brands of the Decade Award
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, November 29 - 2003 at 09:17
- PRESS RELEASE
Leading home appliances brand, VENUS, has been nominated by the organisers of the Gulf Brand of the Decade Awards in the Trading and Distribution category.
Speaking on the nomination, Soni Tolani, Executive Director, Jacky's Middle East LLC, said, "Just to be nominated is a milestone for VENUS and we are indeed proud to see our brand up there among the top five in this category." Earlier this year Jacky's also became one of 50 companies in the UAE that were awarded 'Superbrand' status by the Superbrand Council - a ten-member group comprising eminent figures from the world of branding. "To be nominated by GMR is further recognition of our previous achievements and accomplishments," Tolani said.
The Venus brand, launched 11 years ago, was born out of a need to offer high quality appliances at competitive prices by offering a wide range of products and models to suit varying specific needs of the consumer. Faithful to this original promise, the brand has since then been targeted at this segment of the population - those seeking appliances at prices they can afford, but without a compromise on quality.
Through its strategy of offering customised, and region specific products, the VENUS customer base has expanded to territories outside the Gulf, including Asia, Africa and Europe, and is currently available in 29 countries. Dealer and distributor networks have been established in these countries, to introduce products suitable for these regions. VENUS is also marketed through dealers in all the seven emirates and is also promoted extensively through leading hypermarkets Carrefour and Lulu.
Today the VENUS brand offers one of the best ranges in domestic appliances, featuring more than 21 models in its refrigerator range alone. From selling only refrigerators when it commenced operations 11 years ago VENUS today offers a full range of home appliances - from washing machines, microwave ovens and air conditioners to kettles, juicers and oven toasters.
VENUS, marketed by distribution company Jacky's Middle East LLC, is further enhancing its refrigerator line-up with the addition of five more models namely: VG 180 - 180 lts capacity, VG 222 C- 220 lts capacity, VG 280 - 280 lts capacity, VG 362 C- 360 lts capacity, VG 432 - 430 lts capacity.
The VENUS freezer range is also expanding with the introduction of the VCF series - ranging from 105 lts to 515 lts. Other new addition to the VENUS line-up include the VG 5060 model cooker and top-selling front loading washing machines, manufactured in Europe, ranging from 400 RPM to 1000 RPM.
The new products, which incorporate the key features of the VENUS range - value, aesthetics, and performance, are available at leading retailers across the UAE and GCC, and also in overseas markets across Asia, Africa and Europe through Jacky's extensive dealer network.
