RCI opens new office in Middle East

The new sales center operation opened in March and went live to Members in the region in mid-April.

The new office is a welcome addition to the region for the RCI Community. RCI has a strong Member base in the Middle East that for the past ten years has been serviced by the Cairo, Egypt office. Members that lived in the Gulf states, such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar, found long distance calling to the Cairo office somewhat of a hindrance.

The new Dubai office will service these Arab Members as well as several thousand non-resident Members residing in the Gulf region who were previously serviced by RCI's India operation.

Additionally, Dubai was chosen as the site of RCI's latest office for its contemporary approach to business. It is the most modern city in the Arab world with state-of-the-art technology in the telecom and IT sectors.

The operation achieved success just a few weeks into its opening; it has confirmed more than 100 exchanges for Members in the region. "The Gulf Members are delighted with the opening of the RCI office in Dubai and we hope to reactivate many dormant Members," said Yehia El Noweiem, Country Director, RCI Middle East.

As part of the RCI Expansion Markets region, the Dubai operation will eventually do more than service RCI Members. The second phase of the expansion will incorporate a business development (B2B) function that is expected to bring new affiliations from the area into the RCI fold.
