Running between November 16 and December 31, Visa has linked with over 20 banks to encourage Visa card usage throughout the region. Cardholders that make six transactions at any merchant worldwide, excluding ATM withdrawals, will be automatically entered into a grand prize draw to win a five-day VIP family package to Disneyland Resort Paris, inclusive of gala dinners, breakfast with the Disney characters and a tour of Paris.
In addition to a total of seven grand prizes across all regions, each participating member bank will conduct a supplementary prize draw offering a three-night trip to Dubai for a family of four to take part in the DSF 2004 festivities.
Fernando De Matos, Head of Marketing for Visa International in the Middle East said, 'We are delighted to partner with Disney for the first time in the Middle East. We believe that Disney's reputation as the world's strongest entertainment brand combined with our efforts in adding value for families that shop with Visa, makes this partnership an ideal synergy.'
He added that, although Visa International recently signed a global marketing partnership with Disney, this is the first joint initiative for the two world-renowned brands in the Middle East.
'The Disney promotion comes in advance of the Middle East's most popular event, DSF, that Visa is proud to sponsor. This is a great opportunity for cardholders to win fantastic family holidays to Disneyland Resort Paris or come to Dubai and take part in DSF festivities themselves,' stated De Matos.
During DSF 2004, Visa will be the preferred payment partner with approximately 2,000 participating shops and retailers promoting Visa at point of sale. Visa Electron or Visa credit cardholders from anywhere in the world that shop in Dubai between January 15 and February 15 can enter into the Visa promotions.
'With card payments becoming an integral part of everyday shopping, we hope that Visa cardholders will chose the convenience of paying with Visa over cash in order to benefit from these great prizes. We are very excited and look forward to a spectacular DSF,' De Matos concluded.
