Emirates Bank at Dubai's 8th International Aerospace Exhibition

This reflects the bank's commitment to supporting Dubai's government drive to establish and reinforce the United Arab Emirates position as the regional business hub, tourist destination, and center for commerce and trade activities.

Commenting on the Bank's participation to the event, Mr. Sulaiman Al-Mazroui, Chief Manger Group Affairs at Emirates Bank said, "participating in such major events has been a key aspect for the Group's comprehensive strategy. We are very proud to be the only Bank that has been participating to Dubai International Aerospace Exhibition since its inception. We strongly believe that it is at such events that relationships with customers are established and strengthened and deals are made".

Mr Al-Mazroui added, "Emirates Bank Group relationship with Emirates Airlines and Dubai Civil Aviation, the driving forces behind the Dubai 2003 exhibition, dates back to 1989 when the Bank started to finance the purchase aircraft. Over the years the Bank has helped in funding 13 aircraft these include 4 Boeing 777s, 2 Airbus A310s, 6 Airbus A330s and the first Airbus A340,involving total financing of over AED 2 Billion. September this year also saw the Bank arrange and close an all local bank financing syndicate for the delivery of an A330 to Emirates - this was a first for the UAE market. EBG has also arranged and participated in raising funds for the Emirates Bond Issue and the Bank continues to remain one of the Emirates strong relationship banks and expects to maintain this position in the future.

Mr. Al-Mazroui concluded, "Emirates Bank involvement in the exhibition includes a hospitality chalet in which key customers and guests are entertained and watch the daily Air Show. Furthermore, Emirates Bank has a stand in the Main Exhibitors Hall, which displays the various innovative retail products and services offered by the Bank. The Bank will also have a Bureau de Change located in the main entrance of the hall and an ATM machine located in the exhibition area to serve the needs of the Exhibition visitors and Guests.
