SWISS launches new winter timetable 2003
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, December 03 - 2003 at 09:28
- PRESS RELEASE
Swiss International Air Lines, Switzerland's national airline, has introduced its new winter timetable, which commences from October 26.
Felix Rodel, Area Manager, SWISS, Arabian Gulf, said: "Due to customer demand, we have also added another flight to Jeddah, which now provide three weekly services, via Riyadh. The new timetable allows SWISS to continue servicing all the major leisure and business destinations throughout the world."
SWISS will fly to 72 destinations in 44 countries under its 2003-2004 winter schedule. In the Middle East, SWISS operates a total of 25 weekly flights including daily non-stop flights from Dubai, five weekly flights from Cairo, four times from Karachi, three times from Jeddah, Riyadh and Muscat.
Under the new 'SWISS In Europe' fare system, the cost of the fare will be determined by demand. So customers who book early or are flexible in terms of their day or time of travel can take advantage of the competitive fares. These attractive fares are available for single and round-trip tickets, where the bookings for each flight can be made in different classes, thus at different fares.
The new SWISS fare system enables customers traveling in Europe to put their air trip together on the SWISS website - www.swiss.com and thereby benefiting from the best web fares available. Swiss.com allows customers to search for flights by fare, date, departure time or class of travel whichever they prefer.
SWISS will continue to offer high-quality in-flight service on its European flights. Business Class will retain its popular premium product, including access to airport lounges before departure or during transfers between flights, a wide range of complimentary newspapers, food and drink on board.
Now Economy Class passengers can select their preferred in-flight service by choosing from a seasonally adjusted range of small and large meals, along with a choice of beverages. On shorter flights, passengers can buy their in-flight fare from snack bars in the gate area before they embark.
In addition to attractive new fares, passengers using the new SWISS in Europe product will continue to enjoy all the benefits of a true network carrier: coordinated timetables, centrally-located airports, several flights a day on popular routes and the opportunity to earn frequent flyer miles.
"Our Middle East routes are some of the most popular in the world, and with the introduction of the new SWISS fare system in Europe we aim to cater to the needs of those wishing to travel to Switzerland this season by increasing comfort levels, providing exceptional in-flight service and specifically catering to the needs of our regional travellers and their families," concluded Rodel.
