Says Rudi Jagersbacher, Vice President, Hilton International for Arabian Peninsula, "The meetings and events business is a fast growing segment and contributes significantly to the Hilton business mix. Our strategy is to grow this segment further by constantly improving our products, motivating event planners and sales teams to choose Hilton via the Hilton HHonors Event Planner Programme."

Event planners can now earn one HHonors bonus point and one airline mile for every US dollar spent at any of the 75 HiltonŽ and ConradŽ properties throughout the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Event organizers must be a member of Hilton HHonors and hold a qualifying event with a minimum value of US$1000.

"The Hilton HHonors Event Planner programme provides a substantial incentive to all function organisers, from large-scale event planners to individuals arranging weddings or corporate functions," said Stuart Walsh, Manager, Customer Relationship Management, Middle East, Hilton International.

With the Hilton HHonors Event Planner programme, a corporate function organiser can easily redeem a holiday at any Hilton property around the Middle East or Asia. For example, an event planner in Dubai can earn a two-day stay at the Cairo Ramses Hilton in Egypt, as well as a return airfare to Cairo just by booking a conference package at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah valued at US$25,000.

"No other event or meeting planner programme can offer both HHonors points and airline miles. Earning Hilton HHonors Event Planner points and air miles is simple. There are no limitations to the day or date of the event, nor the type of hotel or meeting room," added Walsh.

In addition to this reward scheme, Hilton International, the world's leading hotel brand has recently launched a campaign promoting Hilton Meetings, the trademark service designed to make meetings easy. 'Hilton Meetings' accreditation guarantees a range of professional standards and facilities. It also features state-of-the-art Meeting Rooms and Business Centres with support from dedicated Hilton Meetings Managers, providing flexible and creative food solutions, simple billing processes and easy departures for guests. Hilton Meetings is offered at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, Hilton Abu Dhabi, Jeddah Hilton, Hilton Kuwait and Hilton Salalah.
