Cooline trimuphs in GCC Brand Awards
- Saudi Arabia: Wednesday, December 03 - 2003 at 09:47
- PRESS RELEASE
Cooline, Zamil Air Conditioners' (ZAC) international flagship brand of air conditioners emerged triumphant in the 'Best GCC Brand of the Decade Award', beating hundreds of contenders to win in the FMCG - Consumer Durables Category.
The awards recognize the achievements of Arab companies and individuals in developing and establishing their brands within the Middle East during the last decade and according to Abdulla Al Zamil, Senior Vice President, ZAC, the award for Cooline underscores its strategic brand building efforts, which include globalization and the formation of alliances with reputed business partners around the world.
"On behalf of Zamil Air Conditioners I would like to say that it is a privilege to receive this award which honors the values of our Cooline brand of air conditioners and of course to the dedication of our workforce which is committed to delivering upon the promises of our brand every day across more than 55 countries in the Middle East, Europe, America, Africa, Australia and the Far East," he said.
ZAC was formed in 1974 and is the oldest and largest manufacturer of air conditioning products with an impeccable history in producing premium quality products in the Middle East. Cooline - which drew upon this strength - was first introduced in direct response to export demands in the mid 1980s.
"The commitment of our workforce and of Cooline distributors around the region is largely responsible for this honor due to the fact that they remain steadfast to a common brand strategy," added Shaker Almoussa, General Manager, Cooline. "This strategy permeates all angles of the brand and incorporates R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing activities as well as the provision of after sales services."
"The fact that Ipsos-Stats and AMEInfo put our brand through Gulf-wide market research as part of the shortlisting criteria demonstrates the power of brand communication activities, which have been key to our leadership positioning throughout the GCC region and indeed internationally," said Balazs Garamvolgyi, Brand Manager, Cooline.
