American Express Middle East expands Oman operations

American Express Middle East (AEME) recently held a press briefing at the Hyatt Grand Hotel in Muscat to announce an agreement with BankMuscat that facilitates the use of their point-of-sale machines, as well as the opening of their new Representative offices (Zubair Travel and Service Bureau) in Al Khuwair.
"Under the auspices of Zubair Travel and Service Bureau, we are looking to further invest and grow in Oman and are working on recruiting more staff as part of our efforts of strengthening and expanding our operations here," said Peter Dean, General Manager, American Express Middle East and North Africa, "on behalf of American Express, I pledge our continued and strong commitment to the people of the Sultanate and look forward to providing them with increased financial and travel services solutions in the days to come."
Zubair Travel and Service Bureau, American Express' representative office in Oman has recently opened its new office for business.
The new office will offer customers financial products from the American Express range, outbound travel facilities from Zubair Travel, inbound tours with Zubair Tours, motor and general insurance from Norwich Union, car rental from Avis as well as DHL courier services - all under one roof.
"One of the main reasons for our move was to be more visible in an area well-known for its travel services. This allows us to provide better service to our merchants as well as our Cardmembers here in Oman," said Dean.
