"Some of the very important issues we will address is setting an IT service strategy for an organisation and establishing a proven implementation framework", says Colin Rudd, who is recognised as an international and vastly experienced service management specialist. He adds "We will also cover the world's first standard for IT service management, BS 15000, in a dedicated workshop."

At the conference, top IT professionals will reveal how IT service management has been implemented in their organisations. This event is a must to achieve a strategy that will accomplish extraordinary results. It will present practical applications and live experiences that will help participants understand how service management can start or continue to drive better IT performance in organisations.

"Many organisations are currently adopting ITIL -IT Infrastructure Library - which is the result of documenting best practices in the management of IT service," says Barth de Ridder, Executive Director of IIR Conferences. "For some it is a matter of improving service quality, but for others it is a matter of survival."

The conference is supplemented by three workshops which will cover IT service management best practices in ITIL Essentials, drafting successful IT Service Level Agreements and the essentials of BS 15000, the new IT Service Management Standard.

The Middle East IT Service Level Management Conference takes place on 14-17 December 2003 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai. It is organised by IIR and supported by the itSMF - IT Service Management Forum, Emirates Bank International, Vodacom, Kingswell International, Saudi Aramco, Affirmative Technology Solutions, ADNOC Distribution and the Institute of Service Management.
