Attracting crowds to the stand, guests were impressed with the significant design and styling enhancements that have been made to the interior and exterior of this new model to include a look that is similar to the flagship Range Rover model.

The styling enhancements give the car a more luxurious and sporty look and is available in two body styles: a three-door version, featuring a detachable hardback or fold-up softback, and a five-door. There will also be a limited edition sport model available.

The new 2004 Freelander has been the result of a $36 million investment and the most significant and impressive change to the product since the initial launch in 1997. Full production of the new model began this year in September and the vehicle will available for sale in the Middle East in January 2004.

Andy Gawthorpe, Managing Director, Land Rover Middle East & Africa said: "Land Rover enjoys a long history and a special place in the region. Commenting on the day's activity, Gawthorpe added: "There has been a tremendous interest shown for all our Land Rover models displayed at our stand with particular interest for the new 2004 Freelander and Range Rover Autobiography, which also made it's Middle East debut at the Motor Show.
