Royalty, enthusiasts, car lovers, buyers and trade visitors throng venue

The 7th Middle East International Motor Show opened to a stupendous response from a high profile of visitors, many of whom include members of the royal families, celebrities, car enthusiasts, potential buyers and trade visitors from the Arab regions with opening day crowds crossing the 11,000 mark.

"The venue has been deluged by visitors as the opening day crowds have shattered all previous records by registering a surge of 47% and crowds enjoying the most comprehensive and splendid display of cars ever put forth in the Middle East by some of the world's leading manufacturers," said DWTC Director General, Mubarak bin Fahad.

"Opening day crowds at the show's previous edition topped at 7,692 and we have registered 11,278 visitors this year and are confident that more and more car enthusiasts will visit the show over the coming days. The show provides the participating exhibitors with a Dirham for Dirham value measuring well beyond their expectations as thousands of show visitors and extensive media coverage makes the ME Motorshow a 'must attend' event for the automobile industry," observed Mr. bin Fahad.

The show caters to an audience comprising of trade visitors as well as consumers from the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian sub-continent among others and has an established track record of pulling in the big players from the international automobile industry.

This year's edition of the show is expected to attract a region-wide audience of more than 75,000 people from the Middle East, N. Africa and the Indian sub-continent.

Over 64 international vehicle manufacturers, designers and customisers are showcasing their latest models in a state-of-the-art venue, all under one roof. The event features a host of manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Chrysler, General Motors, Ford, Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Maserati, Porsche, Pagani, Land Rover, Toyota, Volvo, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Peugeot to name a few showcasing automobiles as well as displaying global motoring trends to this part of the world.

"We are confident this year of achieving the largest attendance ever of any auto show in the region and going down in the annals of the regional automobile industry's history as the best show," Mr. bin Fahad concluded.
