- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, December 14 - 2003 at 17:01
- PRESS RELEASE
Today sees the launch of the region's best loyalty programme from the best credit card in town.
Offering the widest choice of Frequent Flyer Programmes to redeem from, meMILES features multiple frequent flyer programme partnerships with Emirates & Sri Lankan Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines & Northwest Airlines, Qatar Airways, Air-India & Indian Airlines and enables cardholders to transfer their meMILES to any of their existing Frequent Flyer Programmes with these airlines. Once transferred, cardholders can redeem their meMILES to travel with any of these airlines or their 35+ partners.
Cardholders will have the flexibility to transfer meMILES to their existing Frequent Flyer Programmes by earning meMILES.
meMILES never expire, making it the longest lasting programme available. Even when expatriates choose to leave the UAE, they can transfer their meMILES to one of their existing frequent flyer programmes and use them at a later date.
Credit card holders will automatically be enrolled onto the programme for free and every time a meCARD or Emirates Bank credit card is used for purchasing, shopping or dining, the cardholder earns meMILES. For every AED10 spent, the cardholder is rewarded with 3 meMILES.
Anis Al Jallaf, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer - Emirates Bank said, "We have designed a programme with the customer in mind, giving them multiple options for redemption whilst providing them with a mode of earning more meMILES by simply using their meCARD or Emirates Bank credit card. Our partners are all world class airlines, making it easier and more flexible for our customers to travel than ever before."
Every meBANK and Emirates Bank credit card holder is automatically enrolled into the meMILES programme, and meMILES can be earned starting from 15th Dec, 2003.
Louis Scotto, General Manager Retail Banking - Emirates Bank added, "meBANK is all about providing its customers with flexibility and the 'best' offers on the market. We believe meMILES has surpassed these expectations with the value to that it offers, its level of rewards, its flexibility and redemption options through our multiple airline partners - we expect the programme to be a great success."
meBANK already has plans to increase its redemption opportunities and is currently in talks with other prestigious airlines, so watch this space!
