The 2nd Middle East Food Marketing Forum will feature a "See, smell, touch and taste" session where delegates will be able to sample novel new products hitting markets throughout the world.

In the meantime, in advance of the forum, the taste session providers have provided a sneak preview of hot trends in the worldwide food industry for 2004, some of which could appear on Middle East supermarket shelves.

The forum (www.iirme.com/food) takes place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 18 to 20 January and the tasting session will be provided by Mintel Global New Products Database (GNPD) which reports on more than 50,000 new food and beverage product launches every year.

"This special tasting session was a huge success at the first forum, providing food marketers in the Middle East with first hand experience of innovative new products from around the world," said Chris Mullinger, forum organizer with the Institute for International Research in Dubai.
