This roadshow touches down this week at Dubai's Deira City Centre and will portray the new digital lifestyle for families in the region. Visitors to Intel's Digital Home will have an opportunity to get a hands on grasp of the benefits of state-of-the-art desktop and notebook computers, and will witness the practical wonders of the unwired computing lifestyle. To enhance this understanding, a "family" of actors has been recruited, where short scenes will be played onstage in Deira City Center's central court, exemplifying real life benefits of the digital home. In addition to this, the display will host a gamer's dream: the first PC in the region featuring Intel's recently announced Pentium4Processor with HT Technology Extreme Edition.

Intel has partnered up with key vendors, namely Toshiba, IBM, HP, Dell, Sony, and Fujitsu-Siemens, FIC and Emachines to furnish the digital home with top performing machines based on the IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 processor with Hyper Threading Technology and on the IntelŪ Centrino™ mobile technology. The digital home will take shape in the form of a residential lounge, whereby 'slice of life' scenarios will be demonstrated on the centre stage of Deira City Centre thus allowing consumers to touch and feel how technology can transform everyday life.

"As the UAE is one of the more technologically progressive markets in the region, we are seeing greater investment in home computers, not only because of their communication and entertainment value, but because they can represent an investment in the future education of children," said Tanguy de la Horie, Intel's marketing manager for the Middle East Turkey and Africa region. "We are confident that this display will give families an idea about the wide variety of applications that the home PC can offer while they sip an evening tea with loved ones. By coming into contact with the cutting-edge qualities of the Intel Centrino Mobile Technology and the Intel Pentium 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading technology, visitors will be able to see the significance of a digitally advanced lifestyle, and how important it may become for today's households."

Designed specifically for those who know their technology and crave high performance, the Intel Pentium4Processor with HT Technology Extreme Edition processor runs at 3.20 GHz with an advanced 800 MHz system bus and a whopping 2MB of L3 cache. Built-in Hyper-Threading Technology and based on Intel NetBurstŪ microarchitecture and Intel's 0.13-micron technology, the Pentium 4 Processor with HT Technology Extreme Edition delivers reliable performance for gamers and power users who demand processing strength to handle today's most advanced applications.

Notebook computers based on the IntelŪ Centrino™ mobile technology will demonstrate how a new generation of high performance, super sleek portable, low weight PCs, with extended battery life, can give families the choice and flexibility to enhance their quality of life and make education and work more enjoyable.

Having toured major cities in the Middle East, the campaign starts in Dubai today and ends on Wednesday 24 December. It will conclude in Khobar, where the digital home showcase will present the latest and greatest in Intel based technology in the Al Rashid Mall, with a focus on mobility and the enhanced computing capabilities of the Intel Pentium 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading technology.
