Tech Access unveils new professional services

Tech Access, Sun Microsystems' channel development provider in the Middle East, today unveiled a new team of solutions specialists, who will provide Sun's resellers across the Middle East with access to best practice expertise in key areas such as backup, storage, and building a Web presence.
"We've recruited some of the most highly-qualified experts from the IT field to staff our new professional services team, because we know that professional services are increasingly becoming a key differentiator in the Middle East's technology market," commented Jafar.
The team will offer expertise in a broad range of areas, including storage, disaster recovery, and Web services, networking, security, backup, and multiple other system- related issues. Part of the Tech Access professional services charter is to support small, medium, and large businesses in their efforts to deliver upon support level agreements that are unique to each partner and customer, offering rapid response in the case of system failure.
"Support level agreements are vital components to doing business in the Middle East, because companies need to know that their solutions are integrated, able to maximize capacity and recover from any unforeseen downtime," commented Jafar.
"Our role is to provide rapid support to partners and customers when they need it, and we believe that we are able to offer the fastest and most reliable service in the region," he added.
The launch of the professional services team marks another major step forward in the Tech Access - Sun Microsystems partnership. This year has already seen the first anniversary of the Tech Access Solutions Center and the opening of new offices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Morocco.

IDC predicts a market value of $304 million for the professional services sector by 2006, reflecting the rapid rise in demand across the region.
