Oracle Collaboration Suite is the first enterprise-class collaboration product that leverages a relational database to offer a secure, reliable and scalable way to simplify business communications and consolidate information - reducing hardware, software and administration costs. Oracle Collaboration Suite provides users with access to integrated email, voicemail, calendaring, file sharing, search capabilities and web conferencing from popular desktop clients and a wide range of wireless devices.

The university's choice of the Oracle Collaboration Suite, which includes integrated e-mail, fax, calendaring, and file sharing and management capabilities, is anticipated to reduce the school's administrative costs considerably by decreasing downtime and cutting the total cost of technology ownership for these applications. Consolidating systems and diminishing the amount of IT support required are other ways in which Mutah University is likely to save money with its new Oracle environment.

Dr. Abdel-Rahman.Al-Zoubidy Computer Center Director, Mu'tah University Said: "Our experience has demonstrated that Oracle software is equal to any end-user requirement, and offers significant benefits to our organization, including ease of deployment, reliability, and a strong affinity with the specific needs of the academic community. We anticipate a sizeable return on investment in deploying the Oracle Collaboration Suite."

Oracle Partner CCS in Jordan will develop bespoke applications that give the university's 5,00 employees access to relevant university information through highly personalized, user-friendly solutions.

"Many academic institutions in the Middle East are facing the challenges of delivering educational services more efficiently, attracting new students, and lowering operational costs. Mutah's automation and collaboration initiative will create more streamlined, accessible systems that allow more rapid flow of timely information, while becoming easier and less costly to maintain. We're delighted that Mutah University is building on its existing Oracle infrastructure for the benefit of its students and staff," noted Husam Dajani, Vice President- Oracle Middle East.
