UAE 3G contract for Huawei

Chinese firm Huawei has won the USD16m network contract for the Etisalat 3G network. Etisalat plans to roll out a second pahse of 3G in the third or fourth quarter of 2004 after launching its network yesterday. The UAE is the first country in the region to launch 3G mobile phones.
