The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management hosts CEO and Founder of Hsyndicate.com

The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management recently welcomed Henri Roelings, CEO and Founder of Hsyndicate.com, to Dubai and the Academy's campus.

During his visit, Roelings gave a guest lecture named 'Webstorm Rising' to faculty and students.

The presentation, 'Webstorm Rising,' concentrated on E-commerce and distribution in the hospitality industry. Mr. Roelings provided the faculty and students with an in-depth look at the history of online distribution, as well as current trends that might have an ever-lasting impact on the international lodging industry.

Mr. Roelings graduated from the Lausanne Hotelschool in 1987. Prior to starting his own company, he held the position of Vice President Marketing & Product Development for Accor's technology division Optims. In 1994, Mr. Roelings launched hospitalitynet.org, the first web portal for hospitality professionals. In 2000, he founded Hsyndicate.com, the hospitality industry's first online content and knowledge exchange. Hsyndicate.com is an industry specific content-exchange, providing business intelligence and industry visibility to its members. Actively supported by leading industry organizations, Hsyndicate.com centralizes, categorizes, and redistributes filtered B2B intelligence from and to various stakeholders within the global hospitality industry.

This presentation is one of a series of guest lectures that form an integral part of the curriculum in the various degree programmes offered by International Hospitality and International Tourism Management at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management. The Emirates Academy currently has almost 100 students from 28 diverse nationalities.
