Laura Liswood speaks at Woibex conference for Businesswomen

Co-founder of Council of Women World Leaders, former managing director of The Goldman Sachs Group US, internationally recognized speaker, author and advisor Laura Liswood is the keynote speaker at the conference, which brings together 200 delegates from government and business organizations, associations and co-operatives across the Middle East.

Organized by the leading knowledge service provider of the Middle East region, 'Datamatix', the conference is held in Dubai, UAE, annually on March 8th, the international women's day.

Delegates will hear from influential women involved in business and government in the Middle East and have the chance to attend seminars on subjects such as leadership.

Laura Liswood co-founded the Council of Women World Leaders with President Vigdís Finnbogadóttir of Iceland and located it at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Liswood is the Secretary General of the Council, which is composed of women Presidents, Prime ministers, and heads of government. The work of the Council expands the understanding of leadership, establishes a network of resources for high-level women leaders, and provides a forum for the group to contribute input and shape the international issues important to all people. Individual leaders are also an important resource to students pursuing public service degrees at the Kennedy School of Government.
