Storage is a 'top agenda item' for businesses in Lebanon, according to HP
- Lebanon: Tuesday, December 30 - 2003 at 15:20
- PRESS RELEASE
The huge growth in the volume of data that organisations are having to manage has resulted in storage becoming a 'top agenda item' for these organisations in Lebanon, according to Shadi Banna, District Manager, HP Lebanon and Syria.
"We had more than 70 organisations from all sectors of business and government attending this event," he said. "It is clear from the discussions that we had with these organisations that they view the cost-effective management of this data as an issue of critical business importance. By briefing attendees on the latest developments relating to HP's Enterprise Network Storage Architecture (ENSA), as well as advising them about our partnership with Oracle and top alliances in the region, we were able to inform them about why key organisations are turning to HP for their storage solutions," Banna added.
The storage business has proven to be very profitable for HP in Lebanon as the company has secured around 80 percent of the market. The company has secured major Storage Area Network (SAN) deals with more than eighteen leading organisations in the country over the last year ranging from major financial institutions, to telecom operators and government agencies in Lebanon.
In addition to the customers, fifteen local channel partners attended the event as well.
"We have built up a very strong channel network in Lebanon. Our partners have been excellent at working with HP to identify opportunities and to implement and service this fast growing area of our business," said Banna.
