The trade show aimed to promote exchanges and cooperation between China's tourism industry and overseas counterparts.

The growing trade relations between China and the UAE play an active role in promoting economic growth and social prosperity between the two countries. CITM is an important window for China to demonstrate the new appearance of its tourism and also provides an excellent chance for the world to promote their tourism products.

"Cathay Pacific is promoting Dubai as an inbound destination and China as outbound destination both as a tourist and business hub. The great influx of trade opportunities between the two countries is helping stimulate international economic growth particularly in the tourism industry," said UAE and Oman Country Manager Navin Chellaram.

The list of UAE participants include: Mr. Devendra Mudith of Ajman National Travels, Mr. Fabian Fernandes of Airlink International, Mr. Satish Shitut of Cathay Pacific, Ms. Hardish Pannu of Orient Travel, Mr. Lancy D'souza of Arabian Air Travel, Mr. Victor D'souza of Thomas Cook Al Rostamani and Mr. Moses of Uranus Travel.

The four-day CITM, covering an area of 30,000 square meters with 1454 booths, has attracted nearly 10,000 professionals from 49 nations and areas.

"Coincidentally, Cathay Pacific resumed its Beijing flights starting Dec.2, just in time to meet consumer demands. The market potential involved in the continuing development of UAE trade relations with China is huge. Our flight services promote mutual understanding and friendship between both countries," added Mr. Chellaram.
