Arab world can bridge the gap in quality management by upgrading IT systems
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, January 05 - 2004 at 10:55
- PRESS RELEASE
The Arab world's poor performance in quality control management, as exemplified in the low number of ISO 9000 certifications acquired by Arab countries, can be best met by adopting best-of-breed IT solutions that enhance productivity and employee performance across the enterprise.
"One of the most effective methods of streamlining management procedures and ensuring quality, is the adoption of automation across all departments of an enterprise. However, outdated IT systems that cannot meet the enterprise's current and future needs, incompatible IT components that do not integrate perfectly into one whole, or inefficient IT management that cannot optimise the use of the company's IT systems often defeat the best of strategies," said Diyaa Zebian, Regional Manager, Middle East & Egypt, eSolutions BEA.
"The evolving needs of today's businesses demand a totally different approach when it comes to quality control management, because IT is now driving every aspect of business," added Zebian. "However, judicious deployment of IT holds the key to success. It is the choice of the right IT system along with its optimal use that can ensure the highest return on investment. The BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1 is one solution that has proved its worth in this field and could immensely contribute toward quality control management."
With its globally acclaimed ability to achieve faster time to value, BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1 provides a single solution for developing, integrating and managing enterprise applications and business processes. It gives a quicker return on investment because it does not make redundant the existing IT systems.
"Standards and quality can today be controlled and managed in a far more effective manner than ever before. This is because solutions like BEA WebLogic integrate the various processes of an enterprise to provide all relevant information in real time to the chain," said Zebian. "The Arab world may have performed poorly on international benchmarks, but they are now presented with more innovative tools to bridge the gap. This will certainly help Arab countries catch up with the rest of the world in the field of total quality management."
The WebLogic platform has been developed with the objective of creating and supporting IT structures that offer qualitative services to the user-enterprise's customers, enhance interactivity between employees and boost beneficial relations with suppliers. The WebLogic technology also ensures smooth workflow within the organisation, and reduces operational cost, thus facilitating the adoption of best entrepreneurial practices that lead to systems adhering to total quality management.
