KU's B777 operating on New York non-stop route

Effective January 2004, Kuwait Airways is operating B777 aircraft with a capacity of 273 passengers on the non-stop route to New York.
Mr. Adel Boresly, Director PR & Information, said in a recent press release that KAC is keen to implement the latest developments in the airline industry fir the safety of its fleet. He highlighted that Kuwait Airways B777 aircraft with a capacity of 273 passengers will be operating from January 2004 on the non-stop route to New York. Earlier A340 aircraft was flying on this route.
Mr. Adel pointed out that KAC has finalized its most important mechanical projects during 2003. The projects included developing and upgrading the performance of the strong take off thrust engines in the Boeing aircraft from 90B to 94 B.
He pointed out that the project of developing this type of engine aims at upgrading the performance of these engines on long direct routes especially on the direct flight to New York. The upgraded engines on KU aircraft to New York will allow the aircraft to fly non-stop for 14 hours with full capacity and load.
Further KAC has prepared resting rooms' onboard aircraft for the shift crew in the cabin and cockpit, as an added facility.
