The company has also announced that it will use its presence at the forthcoming Arab Lab and Instrumentation Show, to be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from February 9 to 12, 2004, to shortlist and appoint distributors for the UAE, other GCC countries, the rest of the Middle East and the North African markets.
'Clinical chemistry is crucial to the detection and cure of diseases ranging from influenza to deadlier diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease as well as a wide range of infectious diseases. In the quest to bring the best medical care to the Middle East, one of the aspects that must be examined with care, and constantly updated, is the field of diagnostics technology for disease detection,' said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, International Conferences and Exhibitions, the organisers of the Arab Lab and Instrumentation show. 'On the other hand, laboratory technology is used across a wide spectrum of user segments. In addition to professionals from the field of medical laboratories, innovations in clinical chemistry as well as other areas of laboratory technologies will be examined with interest by leading professionals from sectors such as education and public services.
'In view of the rapid expansion and evolution of medical facilities in the Middle East, the regional markets are dynamic and knowledgeable about technological innovations available in the global markets,' said Cyrus Boomla, Senior Manager of International Business, Erba Diagnostics Mannheim. 'Our products have already generated considerable interest amongst buyers from this region. This has encouraged us to plan the establishment of a subsidiary in the UAE, as well as to develop a credible distribution network to maintain steady availability of our products in the region. In addition to proving our commitment to the region, we are confident that our presence at the Arab Lab and Instrumentation Show will be the ideal launch pad for the new technologies we will be introducing to the region.'
In keeping with the tradition of launching new products at the Arab Lab and Instrumentation show, Erba Diagnostics Mannheim will also be launching the new Erba Chem 6, the Ready-to-use System Pack Liquid reagents and the ImmunoTurbidimetric Reagents.
'At the Arab Lab and Instrumentation show, our objective is to provide a forum for comparative analysis of the innovative laboratory technologies entering the market. At the same time, the fact that the previous shows have resulted in a large volume of business transactions encourages participating companies to showcase the latest technological innovations in their respective portfolios,' said Godinho.
Tedia Company Inc. is another exhibitor that will use its presence at the Arab Lab and Instrumentation Show to expand its network of distributors. The USA based company has proprietary technology for the production of solvents purified for use in High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), pesticide analysis, low water (anhydrous), and biological applications. At the Arab Lab and Instrumentation Show, the company will shortlist and appoint new distributors for its high purity laboratory solvents.
