Its ability to create and control the environment, ensuring that servers and other active equipment can work safely and securely is the contributing factor towards its success.

"APW's IMserv cabinet has been one of the most popular server cabinets in the region opted by most of the systems integrators and end users," said Keith Rich, MD, OnLine Distribution. "APW has enhanced its offering with additional accessories such as fire protection unit and active rack controller. Network Administrators and IT Managers demand cabinets specially designed for installing active equipment with special features for thermal management, strength, and super sizes."

The IMserv cabinet provides a number of distinct benefits to users and installers of servers who find an increase in size and complexity with every new product release. The ability to handle very large volumes of cables ensures that a wider range of input and output connections can be accommodated. The depth of the cabinet, up to 1000mm also ensures sufficient hardware space.

As the size of the cabinet increases, the benefits of lightweight panels ensure that users and installers can handle them safely. At the same time, the cabinet has been braced in key areas to enable very heavy loads to be contained. Heavy-duty accessories guarantee the load rating without compromising the lighter weight benefits.

Rich continued, "In network installations, dedicated cabinets for servers and network devices have become a standard requirement. They (network managers) also want these cabinets to look attractive in the high-tech equipment room."

The IMserv® can be equipped with a full security system to prevent unauthorized access to a company's vital networking equipment while at the same time providing sufficient ventilation to ensure the equipment does not overheat. IMserv® has been developed with both ergonomics and aesthetics at the forefront of the designer's mind to ensure they can be installed in the most prestigious of environments and applications.
