- PRESS RELEASE
Oasis International Leasing today announced an expansion of its US portfolio of assets with its first investment in turboprop aircraft.
Commenting on the deal, Gordon Dixon, CEO, Oasis Leasing said: "The transaction represents further growth and diversification of our leasing and financial business in the US and expansion of our existing relationships with both the lessee and Compass. It also reflects our confidence in the lessee's improving financial condition and continued overall improvements in the US airline market. The acquisition is Oasis Leasing's first investment in turboprop aircraft which we believe will continue to play an important role in the US regional airline market."
Oasis Leasing's asset portfolio now includes 21 aircraft on lease to major regional and international flag carriers and a 50% stake in a capsize dry-bulk vessel. The company aims to build its asset and risk profile from its current US $560 million value to US $1.2 billion by 2006, with additional investments in aircraft and targeted moves into shipping, infrastructure and power plant financing.
