Al Alamiah obtains the first DASP certification in Kuwait from Dell

The announcement was made by Ibraheem Mohammed, General Manager, Al Alamiah Computer Systems Co., Kuwait, who also explained that this unique step comes as a result of the company's capabilities, which make it the only company in Kuwait that meets Dell's requirements & specifications, and that can offer the same standard of quality services available in the US and Europe.

"Dell is pleased to announce that Al Alamiah has achieved accreditation as a Dell Authorized Service Provider (DASP). In order to achieve DASP status Al Alamiah had to pass a stringent audit of its service and support organization, testing its ability to deliver consistent, high quality support to Dell customers," said Andy Scopes, Services Manager for Dell's EMEA Distribution Business.

Abdulaziz Al Gharabally, Marketing & Sales Director of Al Alamiah Group which encompasses nine IT companies in the Middle East, stated that with this achievement Al Alamiah Computer Systems in Kuwait echoes the achievement of Al Alamiah Electronics in KSA a few months earlier, making these companies the only two in the region to have obtained this title.

The (DASP) licensing includes providing customer service centers within the area, providing support services such as a Helpdesk, qualified Dell licensed mobile engineers (DCSE) who can visit locations to offer on-site technical support, and who also work at the customer service centers.

"DASP accreditation reflects Al Alamiah's commitment to improving the support offered to its Dell customers and the significant amount of hard work and investment that has been made to meet the standards necessary for accreditation. The progress that has been made in a short space of time is impressive. DASP status provides an excellent foundation for Al Alamiah to further enhance its support capability," added Andy Scopes.

This certification also means that Al Alamiah can supply the necessary spare parts for repairing Dell equipment, such as SL & RMA, and offer same day, or next day, maintenance services. The company can also provide a follow-up system for the Helpdesk, on-site visits and keep track of all the equipment & spare parts available at the service centers, in addition to related logistics. All branches will be connected via the Internet and customers will have on-line follow-up facilities.

It is worth noting that Al Alamiah Electronics, the sister company in Saudi Arabia, was the first company to have been awarded similar DASP certification in the Arabian Gulf.
