- PRESS RELEASE
Cisco Systems announced today its vision of the 'Connected Hotel' for the fast-growing Middle East hospitality sector, ahead of the launch of a regional roadshow highlighting the benefits of this technology to both property operators and guests.
"As investment in IT and networking infrastructure continues to expand at a rapid pace across the region's fast-growing business and leisure hotels, Cisco is committed to developing solutions that deliver long-term service differentiation for our clients," said Ghazi Atallah, General Manager, Cisco Systems (Middle East).
"Hotels must increasingly offer superior service and personalisation to attract and retain guests. Our IP Telephony, Wireless Internet, and Long Reach Ethernet solutions help hotels realise higher service quality and customer satisfaction."
During the roadshow, which begins Monday 12th January in Dubai, attendees can sign up to visit the Cisco Demo Centre, a life-size prototype of a hotel room that embodies Cisco's connected hotel vision.
Among other topics to be addressed at the roadshow are how wireless Internet connectivity (WLAN) can add to a hotel's service offering and increase staff productivity. The seminar will show how a converged IP-based network capable of delivering voice, video and data services, defining Cisco's AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data), and SAFE blueprint architecture developed specifically for the hospitality industry, can also add to hotel employee productivity and expand customer services in a scalable business solution. Also presented will be the latest IP Telephony innovations developed to drive better quality service, revenue generation opportunities, reduced cost of operations and increased efficiencies.
