Orbit appoints new Vice President for Sales and Distribution

Orbit Satellite and Radio Television Network, the leading Pay-TV Platform in the Middle East and North Africa, announced the appointment of Nihad Nimeh as the new Vice President of Sales and distribution, to be based in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In his new position, Nimeh will be responsible for all Sales and distribution operations in the Middle East, Europe and North Africa, through leading the network of Orbit offices in those regions.

Nimeh has had extensive experience for almost 25 years in the Arab world in General Management, Finance, and Sales and Distribution positions; He holds an MBA from the US. Prior to joining Orbit, Mr.Nimeh held several senior managerial positions with multinational companies in various locations in the Arab world and Africa; Most recently he served as General Manager for Pepsi Cola in Algeria; while he spent a number of years before that in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan.

On the appointment of Mr.Nimeh, Mr.Samir Abdul Hadi, President and CEO commented: "Orbit seeks to attract talented executives with leadership capabilities to sustain and grow its leading position in Home TV entertainment in the region, and Nihad will add value to our executive team in his area of expertise"

Nimeh will be responsible for expanding Orbit's market share in the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa markets in terms of sales and distribution. He will also be in charge of developing and implementing strategic sales plans, and leading our network of offices in the region", added Samir Abdul Hadi, President and CEO of Orbit.
