HP goes on tour with Altiris, Microsoft and Intel

HP kicked off the year 2004 by leading a PC Migration Roadshow gracing the Arabian peninsula throughout the month of January. Joining forces with software developer Altiris, Microsoft and Intel, HP is touring the Middle East starting on Sunday 18 January in Abu Dhabi and continuing through to Riyadh, Bahrain and Kuwait on 20, 21 and 25 January, respectively.
Delegates will have an opportunity to preview the new portfolio of Lifecycle Management Solutions, HP Buy Back Programme, Inventory management solutions and to access a snapshot of HP TCO programme, which allows customers to identify, manage and control total cost of ownership. Product offerings will focus on business needs in critical IT lifecycle areas including HP platform management, Deployment and migration and Inventory and asset management.
"Together with our partners, we are providing enterprise and SMB customers with a hands-on demonstration of how our Inventory management solutions, client solution and HP buy-back programmes can help customers deploy, manage and transition their PC base in a smooth, quick, cost-effective manner," said Christoph Schell, Personal Systems Group, HP Middle East.

During the PC Migration 'Think about of the box' tour, which one can register on www.hp.com/me/events, HP experts will present an overview of the newly launched value proposition that the company is showcasing. Intel's speaker will update delegates on how Intel's Client Configuration Strategy has helped to reduce overall the client TCO model, recognizing the issues that Intel experienced and overcame, including the ROI of refreshing client desktops investment. Microsoft, also a partner in this initiative will speak to delegates about the benefits of migrating to Windows XP.
