Major Mohammed Abdullah Bin Naseeb reinforces the effectiveness of the Civil Defence Department

Major Mohammed Abdullah Bin Naseeb, Head of Fire Centres section and Deputy Head of the Safety Committee of DSF has assured that under the guidelines of the Safety Committee in the Organising Committee of DSF, all the event organisers of DSF are following strict safety guidelines.

The Safety Committee has plans to cover all the locations of DSF that includes the Global Village Pavilions, the Fun Fair Zone, the Parking Lots etc.

The Committee researched the layout of the Global Village to allocate 13 emergency exits and 50 fire safety stations have also been installed, in co-ordination with NAFCO and CRODOX.

In co-operation with Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Police, the Department has trained the volunteers to use all the equipment available at the stations, and they also had emergency drills.

Four special stations have been constructed at the Global Village, Muraqabbat Street, Desert Camp and Heritage and Diving Village. Each station has been provided with a fire engine and has a 24-hour staff on standby for emergencies.

The Marine Section of the Civil Defence Department is also on standby for any emergencies in the Creek and is specially equipped to handle emergencies that can arise out of the fireworks. The Department is also organising Safety for All Parade, Salem - The Friendly Fire Fighter Tours, Civil Defence Water Show etc.
