Customers will now save the installation charge and get a 50% discount as well on the monthly rental fee.
The modem has to be purchased from Etisalat. "Broadband high-speed Internet is fast becoming a necessity," said Maroua Naim, General Manager, EIM. "Broadband enables customers to use the many advantages of the Internet to the fullest including applications such as online learning and video streaming."
Maroua explained that UAE has more than 25,000 Al Shamil subscribers already. She added: "While EIM invests continually in the robust infrastructure and extensive coverage to deliver a rich Internet experience to users at all times, we also makes it easier for residents to subscribe to the service with such promotions."
Although Al Shamil is available at higher speeds, the current promotion is offered for the 384 kbps connection. This speed enables users to access the Internet up to 10 times faster than the regular Dial Up connection. The promotion will be open until 19 February 2004.
