Jacky's and HP presents Police Academy Stunt Show

Scripted to capture the drama of a universal cops and robbers chase through an urban landscape, the troupe of actors and stunt persons put the vehicles through their paces in a clever parody of a typical police chase. No less than 20 vehicles, including a fleet of BMWs, trucks, and specially built cars, will be involved in the adventure comedy.

The show, held daily over the DSF 2004 period, is staged by a 33-member troupe of professional Italian stunt people, who have held similar shows in the US, UK and Australia.

This is the first DSF event to be sponsored by Jacky's, said Soni Tolani, Managing Director, Jacky's Electronics LLC. "When we were approached to sponsor this event, we were excited by the idea of such a show. At Jacky's we have always provided a complete family experience and we felt that a show such as this is one that could be watched by every member of the family," he said.

The timing of the shows have been planned to accommodate family members' busy schedules and similarly, the venue is centrally located, on Al Muraqqabat Street, for easy access for visitors. Tickets to the show, held daily at 7pm and 9pm, are priced at Dh20 and Dh30. The admission tickets can also be entered into a raffle draw for the chance to win five HP digital cameras. Tickets will be sold through the event box office.

People keen to view the Police Academy Stunt Show can also win tickets through radio phone-in competitions that are to be held every day of the shopping festival. Callers are offered the opportunity to win three family passes (admitting two adults and two children). Promoted on five radio stations -City FM, Free FM and Al Arabia, listeners will be asked to SMS the word 'Jacky's' on the numbers broadcast. Each station will be giving away three family passes daily.

In addition, the Urdu radio station Hum FM and the Malayalam station Radio Asia will be quizzing listeners on Jacky's, HP, DSF and the Police Academy Stunt Show for further chances to win tickets to the shows. Daily 60 tickets will be given away through five radio stations.
