Layout Ltd. releases ArabicXT 6.0

This latest offering from Layout fills the void in Arabic publishing, especially for those eagerly awaiting the follow-up version to ArabicXT 5.0

Designed to be used in conjunction with QuarkXPress 6.0, the most widely used page Layout software, ArabicXT 6.0 gives the user a full range of key leading features, including the ability to convert Arabic print-based designs to Arabic Web-based designs or vice versa, all within one file. The user can even include an Arabic Web layout and a print layout in the same file and share Arabic text content between the two files.

ArabicXT 6.0 also enables synchronized Arabic text among different layout spaces so that the user can include the same Arabic text in multiple layout spaces and synchronize it between different layout spaces. In addition, ArabicXT 6.0 offers efficient table management so that the text cells can be linked to one another or to any text box in a mixed Latin-Arabic page layout. With ArabicXT 6.0, publishers can also enjoy a multiple Undo feature, which can reverse one action or a series of actions, as well as restore a series of actions including text and picture import, text linking, changing style sheets.

ArabicXT 6.0 is packed full with features, such as automatic horizontal and vertical positioning of vowels over characters; automatic kashida insertion; the ability to mix Arabic and Latin text and a bilingual "find and replace" feature.
