International Trade & Industrial Exhibition allures Omani businessmen to trade opportunities

The much-awaited 7th Muscat International Fair (MIF) opens doors for Omani businessmen to meet potential business partners from 13 countries namely Germany, Turkey, Bangladesh, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Yemen, Iran, Korea, Lebanon, Hong Kong and Sultanate of Oman.
Senior International business representatives such as Ms. Heidi Marlies Hartz - Deputy head of Mission Middle East for Ministry of Economics, State of Brandenburg, Germany is promoting the Newest German Furniture - an outstanding bed cum cabinet. She is looking forward to meet Omani furniture manufacturers and wholesale dealers at their stall.
KOTRA - Korean Trade Centre will showcase Vacuum Forming Machinery, Heavy construction equipment, Defence Supplies and Auto Spare parts
The Italian Embassy in Muscat and the Italian Trade Commission in Dubai will participate in the form of "Punto Italia" representing large number of companies from Italy, besides those involved in infrastructure projects. The major sectors are construction machineries, transport equipment, furniture, pharmaceuticals, marble/stones and machineries.
Other products on display are pure silk from Bangladesh, building materials from United Arab Emirates, Food processing, agriculture and stationery products from Yemen, Fertilizers from Qatar, Ceramics and tiles from Iran, tires, Elevators and escalators from Lebanon, yeast from Turkey and industrial products and services from other countries.
H.E. Rajha Abdul Amir Ali, Undersecretary for Development Affairs, Ministry of National Economy will officially open the exhibition on 19 January 2004 at 10:00 a.m. accompanied by the delegation of high-ranking government dignitaries, senior diplomats, businessmen and media.
