Siemens plans major announcements at Arab Health 2004
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, January 20 - 2004 at 09:56
- PRESS RELEASE
Siemens Medical Solutions, the region's leader in cutting-edge medical technology, is all set to further strengthen its leading position in the international healthcare industry by unveiling the latest trends in medical solutions, at the upcoming Arab Health 2004, the Middle East's premier healthcare exposition.
A top Siemens official pointed out that the launch of the AXIOM Aristos FX is expected to excite the radiography departments in the region's medical community, who continuously seek effective methods to simplify their operations while keeping the levels of radiations low.
"AXIOM Aristos FX embodies the revolutionary technological innovations needed to optimise workflow in digital radiography and to overcome the everyday problems faced in today's over-stretched radiography departments," explained Maurice Faber, head of Siemens Medical Solutions. "Its fully automated operation smoothly handles all routine clinical procedures from thoracic to extremity work and also makes it ideally suited for Emergency Room (ER), trauma and paediatric applications."
Faber said that interest in the new solution has been building up among the Middle East's well-developed medical sector, with top regional players already approaching Siemens to install the AXIOM Aristos FX in their facilities. He added that major deals over Aristos are in the pipeline and will be announced during Arab Health 2004.
"We are pleased that the region's medical fraternity has recognised the benefits of implementing such a hassle-free solution. At the same time, Arab Health 2004 will give us an important platform to explain the advantages in greater detail," he added.
While maximising radiation protection, Aristos FX accelerates workflow - from diagnostics and therapy to continued care, thus dramatically reducing the time spent on diagnostics and therapy. The Aristos systems can be seamlessly integrated into the hospital network and facilitate a fast exchange of data - and not just between departments, but far beyond, all because the acquisition systems communicate in well-established standards.
In all applications of the Aristos FX, high-resolution images are displayed instantly with seamless DICOM integration, allowing for distribution anywhere, any time. AXIOM Aristos FX allows for faster, more efficient exams, freeing up more time for health workers to concentrate on the most important part of their working day - their patients.
"AXIOM Aristos FX continues Siemens tradition of excellence in imaging - with unique technologies and seamlessly integrated components because we know that the basis for a safe diagnosis is excellent image quality," explained Faber.
The new solution easily integrates into any DICOM hospital network and utilises syngoŽ, the unique Siemens cross-modality software standard. AXIOM Aristos FX easily connects to existing HIS/RIS systems, PACS networks and DICOM printers via well-implemented DICOM functionality, making additional interface components unnecessary. AXIOM Aristos FX enables users to access relevant patient data and to distribute images as required within Radiology to other departments or even outside of the institution, streamlining clinical workflow even beyond departmental boundaries.
With Aristos FX as part of your DICOM network you get the full benefits of modern networking: communicating across systems. Whether it is filming, sending data or teleradiology - it has never been easier or faster. Quicker data transfer has direct benefits for patients as faster diagnosis allows earlier initiation of therapy.
AXIOM Aristos FX helps users save even more time with automated data transfer. The user simply defines the destinations in advance and the system distributes the chosen data automatically as required - to reporting, to the ward or to filming. As an additional advantage, AXIOM solutions can be customised to ideally fit the examination sequence and individual medical needs.
The Siemens Medical Solutions stand at Arab Health 2004 is located at Stand 3221, Hall 3 of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
