Twenty-five year-old Kenyon joins the team as sales manager working out of Dubai and covering the entire Middle East.

'This full time appointment reflects the considerable growth in the show and the need not only to boost sales but to improve our client servicing availability,' said Matt Thompson, Group Exhibitions Director, Overseas Events, Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), which organises Arabian Travel Market.

'While in the past we have relied on agents to service the Middle East, the rapid development of Arabian Travel Market made it necessary to appoint a dedicated full time member of staff in Dubai to service our clients' and our own future needs.'

Kenyon, a Briton, joins Arabian Travel Market from The Aviation Club in Dubai where he was Sales and Marketing Manager. A hotel management diploma holder, Kenyon's seven-year career has been devoted to the hospitality industry - six of which were spent with the Le Meridien Group.

Kenyon's appointment comes as Arabian Travel Market enters its 11th year. The 2004 edition, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 4-7.

To date, exhibitors from 36 countries have contracted for Arabian Travel Market 2004, the exhibitor profile includes destination tourism bodies from 31 nations.

RTE says conservative estimates predict a 15% growth in floor space for the 2004 event. The growth would take the show to around 10,500 square metres of contracted floor space.
